Chapter 4 of Unoffendable: "Artists See Things"
NOTE WELL: The author cites John 14:1–3. I just wish to emphasize that 'mansions' is not really a good translation of the Greek word 'monai' in this passage. The word is actually related to the word for 'abiding' or 'dwelling' in the vine in chapter 15. Perhaps "dwelling places" might be a good English translation. In addition, while many think Yeshua is going to prepare a place for His disciples in heaven, a careful reading of the passage shows that the same word is used again in 14:23, where Yeshua says: "If anyone loves me, that person will obey my word, and my Father will love that person, and we will come to that person and make our dwelling place with that person." This is clearly speaking of some kind of invisible dwelling place on earth in the here and now, and readily ties to abiding in the vine in chapter 15.
